A luv poem by Scribewryte Rhymin'

Love

Tonight

If I could just hold you

Would you hold me as tight?

Would you smile in the warmth of my arms?

Tonight

If I could just talk to you

On this dimly lit night

Would we talk until forever ends?

Tonight

If I could only compliment you

Would it be considered polite?

Will I never cease to mention your beauty?

Tonight

If I could only touch you

Would love soar to a new height?

One higher than all others before

Tonight

If I could make you smile

Would it be my source of light?

A memory that consoles my loneliness

Tonight

If I could protect you from the storm

Would the weather be a fright?

When thunder rolls and lightning flashes

Tonight

If I could only manage my patience

Until the time is just right

When I am in ecstasy with you

Tonight

.

Why?  Why not...
